Nina attended Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Blue Hill, Nebraska where she was confirmed in 1936.  In 1940 she graduated from Blue Hill High School and went on to gain her Third-Grade teaching certificate.  Miss Schulz taught at Sunny Slope and Five Star District through 1943.
