Lloyd E. Francis, 82, Juniata, Nebraska died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at his home in Juniata. Graveside services will be Thursday, February 21, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at the Osco Cemetery, rural Minden, Nebraska, with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Private family condolences may be sent to the family at www.mertenbutlermortuary.com. Campbell Funeral Home, Campbell, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
Lloyd was born on August 19, 1936 to Dallas H. and Mary L. (Sobotka) Francis at Genoa, Nebraska. He grew up on the farm near Fullerton. He graduated from Fullerton High School and then Kearney State Teacher’s College. Lloyd married Sharon Oden on May 29, 1960 and they later divorced. He had worked for Behlen Manufacturing, Taught Math and Shop in Rising City and Kenesaw. He then worked for K-N Energy for ten years, then had his own business putting up center pivots. For the last twenty five years he has lived in Juniata.
Lloyd is survived by his significant other; Marge Johnson, Juniata, Nebraska, two sons; Tim (Amy) Francis, Dubois, Wyoming, Lynn (Rhonda) Francis, Tacoma, Washington, one brother; Clifford Francis, Hood River, Oregon, two sisters; Donna (Gary) Belitz, Greeley, Colorado, Louise Mumford, California, three grandchildren; Zac and Andrew Francis, Vanessa Francis, two step grandchildren; Shawn LaPorte and Nicole Bernhoft. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents.
