Dolores Minnie (Seeman) Keenan

Dolores M. Keenan, 92, Blue Hill, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.  Service will be Monday, February 3, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Blue Hill, Nebraska with Pastor Leah Krotz officiating.  Burial will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Blue Hill, Nebraska.  Visitation will be Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00-8:00 p.m. with family present from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Merten-Butler Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorials can be directed to the church.  Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.mertenbutlermortuary.com.  Merten-Butler Mortuary, Blue Hill, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.

Dolores was born on July 5, 1927 to William H. and Minnie L. (Siebrass) Seeman at Blue Hill, Nebraska.  She graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1944.  She married Wilfred B. Toepfer on October 1, 1945.  He passed away on February 18, 1971.  She married Ervin C. Hanich on November 15, 1974 and he passed away on April 2, 1976.  She then married Francis Keenan on November 27, 1992 and he passed away on January 21, 2006.  Dolores was very passionate about farm life and was deeply devoted to her family.  She proudly attended her grandchildren’s activities and brought laughter and joy to those around her.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the St. Paul Women of The Word.

Dolores is survived by two sons;  Gerald (Sue) Toepfer, Blue Hill, Nebraska, Kevin (Lori) Toepfer, Blue Hill, Nebraska; one daughter; Carolyn (Robert) Willicott, Blue Hill, Nebraska; two sisters; LaVona (Winston) Henkel, Campbell, Nebraska, Marilyn (James) Layman, Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters-in-law; Evelyn Seeman, Blue Hill, Nebraska, Mary Ann Toepfer, Blue Hill, Nebraska; five stepchildren; Karla (Roos) Miles, Lincoln, Nebraska, Monty Roos, North Platte, Nebraska, Tom (Jacque) Keenan, Henderson, Nebraska, Joe (Jerri) Keenan, Grafton, Nebraska, Genie (Joel) Nuss, Sutton, Nebraska; fifteen grandchildren; Jeff (Amanda) Toepfer, Kerrie (Greg) Catchpool, Amanda Novak, Brad Toepfer, Annette (Doug) Lintz, Aaron Moser, Robbey Willicott. Chrissy (Darwin) Juarez, Corey (Karolina) Willicott, Alyssa (Drew) Prososki, Mackenzie Willicott, Travis (Maddy) Toepfer, Justin Toepfer, Kyle Toepfer, Britney Toepfer; several great grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; one daughter and son-in-law; Eileen and Wayne Moser; one brother; Melvin Seeman; two stepsons; John and Patrick Keenan.
