LARRY BUETTGENBACK

Larry Buettgenback passed away peacefully at his home on December 23, 2018.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Military Rites by Willie Fierstein Post #169 in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Campbell NE., with Mike Pena officiating.  There will be no viewing or visitation.  A memorial has been established to be designated at a later date.  Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.mertenbutlermortuary.com.  Campbell Funeral Home, Campbell, Nebraska is entrusted with the arrangements.

Larry was born September 16, 1938, on the family farm east of Campbell to Allen and Arlynne (Schulz) Buettgenback.

Larry graduated from Campbell High School in 1956.  In 1960, Larry entered the United States Army.  In 1961, Larry married Sherry Snyder of Grand Island, NE, and they made their home at Fort Ord CA.  The family later moved to Campbell NE and then to Grand Island NE where Larry worked for Swift and Company.  The family moved back to Campbell where Larry farmed and worked for Reinking Grain.  After leaving the farm, Larry worked for Werner Construction until his retirement in 2000.  In retirement, Larry enjoyed flipping homes, gardening, fishing, his horses and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his children, Cody (Susan) Buettgenback of Glenrock WY and Stacy (Rick) Koch of Lincoln NE; grandchildren, Hunter Koch, Logan Buettgenback, Dakotah Koch, Tyson Buettgenback, Megan Buettgenback and special friend Marlene Mead and family of Gibbon NE. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Gene Buettgenback.
