LaVel A. (Bud) Wademan, 90, Blue Hill, Nebraska died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska. Services will be Monday, March 18, 2019, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blue Hill, Nebraska with Rev. Jeffrey Kuddes officiating. Burial with Military Rites by A.L. Shirley Post #176, Blue Hill, Nebraska and the Army National Guard Honors Team will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Blue Hill, Nebraska. Visitation on Sunday, March 17, 2019 will be at Merten-Butler Mortuary, Blue Hill, Nebraska from 1:00-8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday March 18, 2019. LaVel was born on September 9, 1928 to Adolph L. and Hauke M. (Seeman) Wademan in Webster County, Nebraska. He graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1946. LaVel served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. He married Deloris M. Detmer on August 28, 1955 at Bruning, Nebraska. He worked for many years for the Farmer’s Coop in Blue Hill as an Anhydrous and Refined Fuels delivery driver. LaVel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and A.L. Shirley Post #176, Blue Hill, Nebraska. He was a past member of the Blue Hill volunteer fire department for over 26 years.
LaVel is survived by his wife; Deloris, Blue Hill, Nebraska, three sons; David Wademan, Blue Hill, Nebraska, Dennis (Debbie) Wademan, Gering, Nebraska, Donald (Marla) Wademan, Crete, Nebraska, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and brother-in-law; Carmen (Wesley) Hinck and one brother and sister-in-law; LaVern (Millie) Wademan.
