Harvey Lamont Thaut

Harvey L. Thaut, 74, of Blue Hill, Nebraska passed away on May 28, 2019 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.  Private family graveside service will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2019 with a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. at Lincoln Park, Hastings, Nebraska with lunch and refreshments.  Memorials can be directed to the family.  Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.mertenbutlermortuary.com.  Merten-Butler Mortuary, Blue Hill, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.

Harvey was born on July 21, 1944 to Carl and Beulah (Martin) Thaut in Hastings where he attended elementary and high school.  In August 1972 he married Pauline (Snyder) Thaut and lived in the Roseland area later moving to Rosemont.  Harvey was a welder by trade working many years for LCL and Matt Friends.  After retirement he was employed by Big G.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Harvey is survived by his wife; Pauline, Blue Hill, Nebraska, daughter; Sandra Kothe, Blue Hill, Nebraska, grandson; Michael Weber, Grand Island, Nebraska, granddaughter; Ashley Reinwalt, Blue Hill, Nebraska and a great grandson; Aiden, one sister; Connie Rombeck, Campbell, California, two brothers; Jerry (Janice) Thaut, Cape Fair, Missouri and Kenneth (Diana) Thaut, Montrose, Colorado.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law; Chuck Rombeck.
