Elinor Blanche (Kaufman) Bolte, daughter of Frank A. and Margie Marie (Majors) Kaufman was born on July 1, 1933 at her grandparents home in Trumbull.  She grew up on the farm northeast of Bladen, attended Fairview country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Roseland High School in 1951.  She then moved to Lincoln where she was employed at Woodman Accident Insurance Co. for two years before returning to Hastings and working as a secretary at Dutton Lainson.

On June 5, 1956 she was united in marriage to Robert A. Bolte in Hastings.  They made their home on a farm near Deweese.  In the spring of 1963, they moved their family to the present location southeast of Blue Hill.  Fifty years later, she became a resident of Blue Hill Care Center due to Health.

Elinor was a dedicated homemaker, actively involved in raising her family and helping with the farm.  She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and tending livestock-especially chickens.  She was involved with Holcomb Hatchery for fourty one years as a parent stock flock owner with laying hens for hatching eggs and also supplied fresh eggs to many customers.  She loved to sew, sing with the radio loud, canning fruit and baking.  Two crust fruit pies were her specialty.  Often she shared her bountiful fruit and vegetables with neighbors.

Family was important to Elinor.  She enjoyed conversation with relatives and friends.  Through all the adversity she encountered her will-power, determination and strong-hearted work ethic meant success and another day she could be proud of.

Eilnor is survived by two sons; Ronald Bolte, Blue Hill, Nebraska, Donald Bolte (Deb Cromer), Blue Hill, Nebraska, grandsons; Dustin Bolte, Darren (Katie) Bolte, Blue Hill, Nebraska; son-in-law; Leon Lutkemeier, Bladen, Nebraska; grandson, Mark Lutkemeier, Bladen, Nebraska; two great granddaughters; sister, Mildren (Harlan Siebrass), Blue Hill, Nebraska; brother, Edward (Verna) Kaufman, Bladen, Nebraska; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.  Elinor was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert in 2007 and daughter; Katherine Lutkemeier in 1996.
