Bud was born to Frank Claudius Christian Einspahr & Marietta (Hasebrook) Einspahr on August 17, 1932, in Holstein, NE. He was married to Mary Lou Lewis on March 8, 1956, in Hastings, NE and to this union, five children were born.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Weyerhaeuser Co. & Great Plains Container for many years in Hastings, NE until he and his family moved to Campbell in 1968 to work for Glenwood Telephone. In 1977 Bud and Mary purchased the Campbell Cafe which soon became known as Bud & Mary’s Place where they fed many hungry friends and family. Bud also worked for Hermanson Heating and Campbell Public Schools. Following his retirement, he helped many individuals around town and their farms.
Bud was a man who never shied away from work and was always there to offer a helping hand. In his spare time, he fished, hunted, liked camping, did rock collecting and polishing, and was always tinkering and building something in his garage. Since his wife’s passing in 2004, Eldean spent six years in Olathe, KS with his son Greg and his family. During that time you could find him out in the barn or fishing at the pond near the house. Bud spent his remaining eight years in Wauneta, NE with his other son Bryan. He enjoyed hunting with the guys, fishing, and going to numerous ball games to watch his granddaughter Brianna play ball. Bud was loved by many at his home at Wauneta Care & Therapy and by everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Marietta; his wife, Mary; his daughters, Michelle and Patricia; and all of his siblings, Eunice Goeltz, Lois Arterburn, Lauretta Baker, Eugene Einspahr, Shirley Weber, Duane Einspahr, Donald Einspahr, and Gerald Einspahr.
