Clifford Jay Beach

Clifford J. Beach, 84, Blue Hill, Nebraska, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.  Memorial service will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019, 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Blue Hill, Nebraska with Pastor Dan Albers officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date.  There will be no viewing or visitation as his wishes were to be cremated.  A memorial has been established to be designated at a later date.  Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.mertenbutlermortuary.com.  Merten-Butler Mortuary, Blue Hill, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.

Clifford Jay Beach, the son of Earl and Tressie (Dooley) Beach was born on June 20, 1934 in Kensington, Kansas.  Clifford, (Red as he was called by many) grew up in Franklin County, Nebraska.  He was united in marriage with Iva June Worley on March 19, 1955 in Smith Center, Kansas.  This union was blessed with three children, Susan Ann, David Eugene and Dennis Jay.

In his leisure time, Clifford had enjoyed mechanic work, woodworking and cooking.  He loved cooking so much that he opened Red’s Drive Inn with his wife.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife of sixty three years; Iva Beach, Blue Hill, Nebraska; one daughter; Susan (Neil) Johnson, Blue Hill, Nebraska; two sons; David (Rosie) Beach, Misawa, Japan and Dennis (Veronica) Beach, Blue Hill, Nebraska; one brother; Jordan (Sharon) Beach, Fontana, California; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
